Fantasy Makeup Tutorial

Today I’m blogging about fantasy makeup!!!

With spring’s drawing near each day, I just can’t wait to go to the public rose gardens and walk down the cherry lanes. Especially this year’s flower festival is going to be special as we had a rough and scary winter here in the USA. My desire for spring inspired me to post this look called Butterfly Blossoms. I recreated it from another site using my favorite products.

INGREDIENTS

Eyes:Ice Skate a loose glitter that comes in a variety of colors, black eyeliner and mascara, dried rose petals, and decorative wings.
Face: Foundation, setting powder
Cheeks:Joy (mauve lilac) Blush
Lips: Runway Pink

First, I used my foundation to smooth my sensitive skin. Secondly, I applied powder to matte my face. Since this look is all about eyes and lips, it’s best to keep the rest of your face subdued – otherwise you’ll end up looking messy and too bold. Last but not least I boldly applied Runway Pink to lips.

EYES

I applied Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion – Brightening all over my eyes, took a flat definer brush, dipped it into Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box Set and applied it all over my top lid – no blending needed as your brow bone’s will be covered up with petals anyway. Then I did the same for BECCA – Extra-Fine Eye Liner Brush and dabbed it on my crease. Instead of a kohl I thinly applied eye liner brush to my waterline. I suggest that you use BECCA – Extra-Fine Eye Liner Brush wet, as its powers only intensify in combination with water. :) Take your eyeliner and draw a thin line and put mascara on your lashes.

We are going to need some eyelash glue to apply the petals (I used rose but any other flower would be fine). I got mine at the craft store. And of course you can dry blossoms yourselves which takes quite a long time, but would make your look even more special! I used my fingers to apply, but you can also use tweezers as well. Dip a blossom into eyelash glue and firstly apply to lower lid’s outer corner. I had no shape concept in my head and arranged them at random. The glue dries very fast, so be quick! Alternately, I applied small petals and even tiny rose buds. Afterward I took my red decorative butterfly wings (you can get those at hardware stores as well) and glued over the brow.

To add extra magic, I dipped a fluff brush into my silver and golden sparkles and roughly applied them all over my eyes and even the flowers – that sparkle adds a lot! This might sound complicated, but all you really need is time, patience and the will to do this look!

LIPS

Since Lime Crime lipsticks are creamy and easy to put on (which is important as I have the driest lips on earth), I decided to finally try out Runway Pink. I dabbed multi-purpose magic dust in Ice Skate on top to make my lips shimmery and glittery.
